Employment restructuring

The Company Restrukturyzacja Kopalń is a main link of an employment restructuring process in coal mining.
From 1 May 2015 to 31 December 2018 the company obtained 13,300 employees together with 16 mines that
had been intended for liquidation.
More than 10,000 employees submitted applications for social protection in accordance with the Act on
the Functioning of Coal Mining.
In the end, over 6,000 underground employees and over 600 employees in coal mechanical processing plants
benefited from mining vacations. More than 3,000 employees received one-off severance
payments.
